Regulation on Claim Advocacy
Insurance broker are allowed to offer claim settlement consultancy against a fee for claim below 1crore. This move by the regulator on 07.12.2011, is to give representation to those risk placed with the insurer by agents, where at the time of settlement the client is not legally represented.
